Galerie Mitterrand
Galerie Mitterrand was founded in 1988 by Jean-Gabriel Mitterrand and encompasses two spaces in a privately owned townhouse in the Marais district of Paris. For the past thirty years, the gallery has predominantly showcased sculpture. Today, the gallery is actively involved in representing established artists and estates such as Niki de Saint Phalle, Donald Judd, Peter Kogler, Claude and François-Xavier Lalanne, Allan McCollum, Tony Oursler, and Keith Sonnier. The gallery has represented and supported the work of the Lalannes, who have become key figures of contemporary design, for more than thirty years. Over the years, Galerie Mitterrand has developed profound expertise in the field of monumental sculpture. In 2015 the gallery opened the Domaine du Muy, a sculpture park composed of several dozen hectares of land in the South of France with an art trail of some forty works by contemporary artists from a host of different generations, movements, and schools of practice.Design Miami/ Basel 2021 Exhibition
