Mietton on Sottsass

Design advisor Ivan Mietton breaks down the brilliance of maestro Ettore Sottsass

Design Detectives is a made-at-home video series featuring insights and tips on important design works, hosted by some of today’s leading experts. Each episode, a specialist welcomes us into their world to offer a short, intimate look at some of the most collectible objects in the design landscape today.

For our third installment, French design advisor and producer Ivan Mietton shows us 3 of his favorite objects by Ettore Sottsass and shares his thoughts on what makes them so wonderful.

Mietton certainly knows Sottsass—he’s the man behind the 2003 Ettore Sottsass, 20 Ans de Design pour Olivetti exhibition at Centre Pompidou and the book Ettore Sottsass: Reperti del Futuro.
