This NYC creative director and entrepreneur shares her favorite designs for wellbeing

Erica Choi has attracted a following in the hundreds of thousands because she is all about care—for oneself as well as for animals and the environment. Her in-demand expertise in fashion, beauty, travel, and lifestyle runs deep thanks to her multi-hyphenate background, starting with her degree in Graphic Design from RISD and onward through her successful career in creative direction for luxury brands, including her stint as Vice President of Digital Design at Barneys. Most recently she’s made quite a name for herself as a licensed esthetician, blogger, and influencer, culminating in Superegg, her wellness-based premium K-beauty brand focused on clean, vegan, and cruelty-free skincare.

La Pepino Chaise by OWL

“This chair is quite the statement piece, but it's still minimal in nature and brings a sense of comfort. It fits my repertoire of filling my space with a handful of special pieces that allows me to take a break from the outside world.”

Coexist Table Lamp by Slash Objects

“Slash Objects’ designs can be spotted a mile away, and this table lamp is the perfect example. The elegant red hue with the gorgeous marbling makes it an exceptional piece. I appreciate even more that the light is made entirely of sustainable, long-lasting materials—marble remnants and a shade made 100% of recycled PET bottles.”

“A mirror is an essential piece in one’s beauty and self-care area, and this piece makes quite the statement. It’s simple, quiet, and bold all at the same time.”

Made Crater Cup by Anders Hamilton for BKLYN CLAY Made

“I have a soft spot in my heart for this cup because it’s produced in a studio I walk by in my neighborhood almost daily! Inspired by moon craters, the textural play is incredible as it absorbs, reflects, and generates light. It gives me joy as I drink my tea, and it seems to transform in front of my eyes throughout the day.”

“I love anything that can serve as a chic home to my beauty products, and this ceramic bowl offers quite a unique iteration.”

“Superegg is rooted in the theme of balance, and these delicate pedestals feel like an ode to balance in many ways.”

Arrangement Pillow Cover 03 by Studio Proba

“This past December, Studio Proba’s colorful sculptures scattered across the Miami Design District was the highlight of my most recent Miami trip. My home is quite monochrome, so this pillow cover is the perfect accent piece to give the space some personality, especially in the upcoming summer months.”

Swing by hettler.tüllmann for Mindy Solomon Gallery

“If I had ample space in my Brooklyn apartment, it would be a dream to have a swing like this. As aesthetic as it is functional, modern as it is traditional, this would be the perfect playful addition to any home.” ◆
