This music stand is one of two designed and hand-crafted by William Keyser. It's signed and dated 1990.

 

Based in Victoria, New York, William Keyser is an artist who works primarily in wood. From 1962 to 1997, he taught furniture design at the School for American Crafts and nurtured a legion of students who have gone on to achieve great success as artisans, designers, and craft educators. Keyser has received an NEA Craftsman’s Fellowship, has been named to the American Craft Council’s College of Fellows, has received the Furniture Society’s Award of Distinction, and has been designated a Distinguished Alumnus of both Carnegie Mellon University and RIT. His work is represented in over a dozen museum collections.
