As one of the few artists whose work fit into multiple categories for the original “Objects: USA” exhibition and catalog, Castle was represented in the Wood and Plastics section. Specifically, he contributed a similar serpentine fiberglass table lacquered in red/orange automobile paint, which draws from American car culture, Pop Art and Radical Design. Intended to be an edition of 6, it is believed that only 3 were made. The original exhibition's example is now in the S.C. Johnson Collection, and the second, featured here, is in Objects: USA 2020.
Please note this work is currently a part of the Objects: USA exhibition at R & Company. As such, the work will need to remain on view for the duration of the exhibition and will be available for shipment in September. The piece ships from New York, NY, directly from the seller. Shipping and tax (except eligible FL tax) will be charged separately.
