The interior is lacquered, and the plinth-like base is made of stainless steel. The keys are included.

Born in Indiana, Walter Dorwin Teague (1883-1960) was an American industrial designer, architect, illustrator, graphic designer, writer, and entrepreneur. He pioneered the streamline moderne style in the US in the mid-century.
