This unique Tibetan carpet was acquired by Nina Yashar during a trip to Lhasa in 1990. Given that Tibetan carpets are made of hand-knotted wool dyed with natural pigments and tend to be small, this is a very exceptional example of the typology. First, its size is outstanding. Further, the decorative pattern is truly distinct thanks to its specific geometric design enhanced by the contrast with the randomly striped blue shades in the background. The price excludes taxes, shipping, and crating.
