The resin-brass coffee table is supported by a deep-seated belly made of brass and a steel structure, and lined with copper on top. A chemical reaction with the brass causes the copper to manifest as a decomposed landscape of blue. A two-week process of filling the belly with 160 liters of resin layer by layer ultimately creates the effect that Loellmann intended: a glistening deep blue sea.
