Jihei Murase captures the essense of the classic tripod cauldron with a perfectly sculpted curve made using hand-forged wrought iron tools. Made from three pieces, a lid, body, and three legs, the vermillion lacquer conceals layers of black varnish beneath in the negoro style. A third generation lacquermaker, Murase developed the tripod tea caddy as his signature piece.
