The Tektites Bowls Collections was designed by Studio Furthermore in 2016. Each one is handmade in pigmented porcelain foam and is offered in three colors: corral, cacao, and petrol. The large Tektites Bowl measures 12.6 x 12.6 x 9 cm. This design is an open edition, but due to the nature of production each is unique.
Home to creative duo Marina Dragomirova and Iain Howlett, Studio Furthermore is a London-based product design practice launched in 2015. The designers met during their MA studies in the Design Products course at the Royal College of Art.
Operating in a space forged between craft technique and industrial logic, Studio Furthermore uses hands-on materials exploration—guided by research into both science and naturally occurring processes—to create furniture, lighting, and objects for living. The duo also produces studio ceramics that can be found in the permanent collection of the Vitra Design Museum as well as private collections worldwide. This work is featured in the documentary film Materials: The Making of Ceramics.
Studio Furthermore has been exhibited internationally at a variety of museums and fairs, including the Gent Design Museum, Venice Architecture Biennale, and Aram Gallery London, as well as galleries Nilufar in Milan, Apalazzo Gallery in Brescia, and Exile Gallery in Vienna.
