Fortified by rich salt deposits in the clay, Yukiya Izumita's tea bowl is constructed with a laminated pattern of ceramic waves. Fired using driftwood collected from the beaches of his home prefecture of Iwate, Izumita repurposes the materials of the harsh conditions to create with an bold and durable charm.
