Pierre Guariche Galerie Mai Armchair $16,000>
Demisch Danant

Though he is best known for the lighting he designed for Disderot in the 1950s, Pierre Guariche was a prolific and innovative designer and architect. Guariche’s approach to both contemporary furniture and architecture was characterized by an emphasis on form and volume. Overall, his designs reflect a commitment to simplicity and to creating furniture in series that could be industrially produced. Galerie Mai production was a small operation and all of the models from its editions are scarce.
