This one-of-a-kind Paul László table features a lacquered wood base that was designed by sculptor F.F. Kern and a lucite top. It was referenced in The Coffee Table Coffee Table Book by Alexander Payne and James Zemaitis published by Black Dog in 2003 (pg. 122).
Architect-designer László (1900-1993) was born in Hungary, lived for some time in Germany, and then immigrated to California to escape Nazi persecution. He is known for his glamorous interiors, furniture, textiles, which he designed in the postwar era from his atelier on Rodeo Drive in Beverly HIlls.
