Bailly Gallery

Pablo Picasso began working in ceramic toward the end of the 1940s. While in the South of France, he was introduced to Suzanne and George Ramié, who welcomed him into their workshop and gave him access to all the tools and resources he needed to express his creativity in clay. Picasso went on to create ceramics throughout the remaining years of his life. This sunny unique piece is dated and numbered on the back and comes with a certificate of authenticity. Not only is Pablo Picasso (1881-1973) one of the most influential artists of his time, he is also one of the most recognized figures of the 20th century. His career spanned over 78 years, in which he created 13,500 paintings, 100,000 prints and engravings, and 34,000 illustrations which were used in books. He also produced 300 sculptures and ceramic pieces during his expansive career.
