This unique illuminated mirror was designed by Osvaldo and Valeria Borsani and produced by Tecno. It was owned by Ziuta Gerstenzang Akston (1901-1994) and Joseph James Akston (1895-1983) of Palm Beach.
Born in Varedo, Borsani (1911-1985) was an Italian architect-designer. In his early career, he designed bespoke furniture for his family's business Atelier Varedo. In 1953, he along with his twin brother Fulgenzio launched the modernist furniture manufacturing company Tecno.
