This flower vase was created by Nakajima Yasumi II in cast bronze and features the attractive warm-brown patina for which the artist was famous. It comes with the original fitted kiri-wood tomobako storage box, which is signed and sealed by the artist.
An Osaka artist with the birth name Mitsuo, Nakajima Yasumi II (1905-86) exhibited at the Shinbunten and Nitten national exhibitions from 1937 to 1957 and received many local and national awards.
