Mathieu Matégot and Georges Jouve "Patte d'ours” Ashtray
This Patte d'Ours Ashtray is a unique object created through the historic collaboration between Mathieu Matégot and Georges Jouve in the 1950s. Born in Hungary, Matégot (1910-2001) was one of the most renowned French designers of the 1950s. Born in Fontenay-sous-Bois, Jouve (1910-1964) is among the most iconic 20th-century French ceramists.
