This large-scale and immensely colourful handmade carpet was created by Marianne Richter. Richter (1916-2010) was an important Swedish textile and ceramics designer-maker who worked in Märta Måås-Fjetterström's famous studio. She is known especially for her colorful carpets inspired by Swedish folk art traditions as well as modern art.
