Sarah Myerscough Gallery

Unique work. Interested in making processes and material investigation, Polish designer Marcin Rusak worked together with glass blowers in Czech Republic to create this sculptural statement piece, inlayed with flowers and leaves turned to ash during the glass blowing process. The patterns and shapes of the stems and petals are sealed in the glass, whilst the ash finish takes on a painterly quality. Rusak has exhibited internationally (e.g. Verbeke Foundation, Belgium, Toyama Museum of Art and Design, Japan, Victoria & Albert Museum, UK) and is the recipient of numerous awards; Mazda Award; AD Award; Wallpaper Award; Perrier-Jouët Salon Prize.
