Lucia Massei lives and works in Florence. She has exhibited her work nationally and internationally in contemporary art and design galleries and in institutional contexts. Massei’s jewels aim to capture what stands in between opposite phenomena—the strength and fragility, the transient and eternal, the past and future. Her jewels seems to freeze the most significant step of the transition that brings the raw matter and the existing materials to assume the status of new and unique forms. Even when the colors, metals, and stones are precious, they are exhibited sparingly, sometimes in their uncut form, as pure as the sense of feeling. Everything in her work is radical and imposes the use of definitions that do not neglect etymologies. Each piece is unique.
