Inspired by woven Bauhaus fabrics and the work of Anni and Josef Albers, Multicolored Syncope is a unique ceramic object by Lotte Westphael. Westphael has developed a unique technique for creating ceramic jars, using 2 mm-thin strips of colored porcelain arranged in vertical and horizontal lines. Her vessels are at once translucent and fragile, strong and geometric. The work of Danish artist Lotte Westphael has been widely exhibited at institutions like the American Museum of Ceramic Art, Danish Culture Institut St. Petersburg, Kagoshima Museum, Hjort Museum Bornholm, Albrechtsburg Meissen, and Musée Magnelli Vallauris.
