This glazed stoneware object was created by Koen Taselaar in 2018. It is a one-of-a-kind. Based in Rotterdam, Taselaar is a visual artist who works with drawing, printmaking, and more recently ceramics—hand-on and direct media. He strongly relates to what the art critic Jan Verwoert proposes as "a third way of making art": something that happens or something one does while living. Making art is not as a heroic act but as something domestic, like doing the dishes (something that needs to be done).
