South African artist Kendell Geers draws from art history, religious iconography, and pornographic imagery to explore social limits, desires, and impulses while also shining a light on the mechanisms of the human psyche. With its life-cast torso, this standing lamp pays homage to the notorious, unsolved Black Dahlia murder in Los Angeles in 1947.
