The 2011 collaboration between Kendell Geers and Elisabetta Cipriani resulted in three iconic pieces that embody the characteristic intensity of the artist’s works. Speaking in Tongues (Stella Maris) is a rosary intended to be worn as a necklace. It’s made of female nipples cast from a live model and assembled in a classic rosary format. Signed and numbered, this necklace is 76 cm long. The last of the edition of 5 is available. Born in South Africa and based in Brussels, Geers is a conceptual artist who works in a wide range of media. Describing himself as an AniMystikAktivist, Geers creates provocative installations, sculptures, drawings, videos, performances, and photography that weave together diverse Afro-European traditions and socio-political activism.
