Jonathan Hansen’s Captum Biomorfe Series is influenced by sculptures of the human body created in 2nd-century Rome. The re-opening of the revitalized Greek and Roman section at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in 2007 planted the seeds of what has become an obsession for this New York artist, an ongoing inspiration for his practice.
Captum Biomorfe is an evolving series of furniture, lighting, and vessels, each an edition of 12 + 1 AP, signed by the artist.
