Elisabetta Cipriani Wearable Art

Elytra is the entomological name for beetle wings, which inspired this jewelry collection from John Moore. Multiple elytra made from dyed, anodised aluminium are clustered together to form overlapping patterns reminiscent of fish scales, flower petals, and bird feathers. These unique earrings are reversible and can be suspended upside down, causing the elytra to flare outwards like an open pine cone. Moore is an award-winning, British jewelry artist who lives and works in Brighton. With a life-long passion for creating wearable objects and a multidisciplinary approach, he has carved out his own unique space in the world of contemporary jewelry, blurring the lines between art, design, craft, and fashion.
