Jo Amado was originally a Belgian set designer for theater who enrolled in the Resistance during the war. She began creating ceramics as a form of PTSD therapy after the war. Her husband, Jean Amado, almost never signed his works however Jo explicitly signed the pieces she made with Jean, like this coffee table.
