This glazed earthenware vase was created by Jiha Moon in 2020. It is a one-of-a-kind.
Born in Daegu and currently based in Georgia, Jiha Moon is a contemporary artist who focuses on painting, printmaking, and sculptural ceramic objects. Reflecting her personal experiences of cultural translation and assimilation, Moon creates kaleidoscopic compositions, layering disparate imagery drawn from various cultures and periods. Moon’s work has been exhibited in solo shows at Arario Gallery in Seoul, Cheekwood Botanical Garden & Museum in Nashville, Mary Ryan Gallery in New York, Saltworks in Atlanta, and Curator’s Office in Washington, D.C., among other venues.
