Jasmin Anoschkin's Snow (2018) exemplifies the artist’s ongoing exploration of surrealist traditions rendered in glazed ceramic. At once life-like and cartoonish, this fantasy figure invites the viewer into a land of make-believe. Born in Finland, Anoschkin is a multidisciplinary artist whose practice includes ceramics and wood sculpture, painting and works on paper, along with a video. She lives and works in Helsinki and is a member of the Arabia Art Department Society. Her work has been widely exhibited, especially her surreal, sculptural clay works.
