Jacques Dumond Set of 6 Bridge Chairs $24,000>
Galerie Pascal Cuisinier

The chair model was designed by Jacques Dumond, commissioned by the Transatlantique General Company and edited by Dennery in 1961. A year later, Dumond himself installed the chair in his own apartment. The design can be found in the permanent collection of the Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Paris.

Dumond (1906–1991) was a French designer, who is often seen as a bridge between France’s centuries-long tradition of fine craftsmanship and the modernist era that swept in during the mid-20th century.
