The contemporary textile designer Ines Schertel manufactured this wool basket using a six thousand year old technique. It´s not made as textiles in a loom, but, instead, is felted through the friction of the wool fibers, who contracts when combined with soap, producing the unique pieces of textiles. The knowledge from the past - with which the designer had direct contact in Kyrgyzstan - is used to produce real, pure, 100% natural pieces. The wool comes from the herd of Textel sheep that are kept in a native camp in her Ranch in Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil.
