This very rare chandelier was created by Gustave Serrurier-Bovy. The glass parts have likely been replaced with pieces from the same period, and the skirt has been restored. The design is referenced in “Serrurier-Bovy: Un Créateur Précurseur 1858-1910” by F. Bigot du Mesnil du Buisson (pp. 45, 209, 210). Serrurier-Bovy (1858–1910) was a Belgian architect and furniture designer who played a significant role in developing the Art Nouveau style.
