Gio Ponti hand wrote this letter to Giovanni Ratto, editor of Domus Magazine, with whom he collaborated on the realization of the Eurodomus Biennial (1970 and 1972). Eurodomus went beyond a simple commercial event and established itself as a moment of synergic experimentation between design, furniture, and the arts. Set up by designers, artists, and producers, the stand designs turned into opportunities for developing scenic and experiential environments. The price excludes taxes and shipping.
Born in Milan, legendary designer Gio Ponti (1891-1979) wore many hats throughout his prolific career: architect, designer, artist, decorator, theorist, lecturer, editor. His impact on the course of 20th-century Italian design is immeasurable.
