As with the pencil, the eraser’s function has been transmogrified (work as religious experience), its form exploded, its function carved away, leaving nothing but an object for contemplation, for sitting on.
The piece is made from maple wood. The “UNRESOLVED” letters are filled in with enamel paint, and the whole piece is coated in clear matte polyurethane, giving it a sheer finish (work works better when its smooth).
