This set of 3 Amoeba Nesting Tables was created by George Nakashima in American black walnut. The shape of each table was intended to reference the amoeba form—a relatively uncommon form for Nakashima. Each features at least one free sap edge with a highly figured top. Nakashima (1905-1990) was an American architect and furniture maker who is considered to be the father of the American Craft movement.
