Couple Geneviève Dangles and Christian Defrance were some of the most prolific and well-known designers of their generation, and from 1957 to 1977, produced some of the most innovative seating of the era. In 1958, the couple were commissioned to design a new Parisian apartment for Mr. and Mrs. Burov, including all furniture and seating. This Desk is a unique piece from this private commission and an exceptionally groundbreaking design for the period, with its curved form and materials combination of Formica, wood and steel.
