"Designed and crafted in 1912-1915 by master metalworker Samuel Yellin, these wrought iron Gates were commissioned for a Private Residence in Wynnefield Heights, Philadelphia.
Trained in Europe and with a broad knowledge of the history of Continental wrought iron, Yellin ably complemented the varied architectural revival styles popular then. As a result of his skill and boundless creativity, every piece of Yellin metalwork is imbued with a rugged beauty and power that transcend mere reference to past motifs.
Other examples of gates by Samuel Yellin can be found at the National Cathedral in Washington D.C., The Cloisters in New York, Yale, Harvard and Columbia University. "
