Elizabeth Garouste (b. 1946), trained in interior architecture, and Mattia Bonetti (b. 1952), trained in textiles, have collaborated on the production of imaginative, flamboyant, and finely crafted furniture, lighting, and objets d’art since the 1980s. Their anti-functionalist, “New Romantic” works can be found in the permanent collections of the Victoria & Albert Museum, the Musée des Arts Décoratifs Bordeaux, and the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, among others.
