Description

Hostler Burrows

This unique glazed porcelain object was created by Eva Zethraeus in 2016. Zethraeus is a Swedish ceramic artist living and working in Gothenburg. Working primarily in porcelain, she creates delicate biomorphic sculptures inspired by botanical and biological specimens often reminiscent of marine life. Zethraeus sees these individual sculptures not only as discrete objects but also as a part of a larger immersive landscape. Zethraeus received her MFA from the College for Design & Craft at Gothenburg University. Her work is in the permanent collections of the Nationalmuseum in Stockholm and the Röhsska Muséet in Gothenburg.
