This enameled polychrome ceramic totem was designed by Ettore Sottsass in 1964 and edited by Bitossi in 1996. An edition of 10 = 2 AP, this piece is signed E. SOTTSASS and numbered N° P.A. I/II.

Born in Innsbruck but raised in Milan, Sottsass (1917-2007) was a visionary architect-designer and provocateur. While his approach and sensibility were entirely his own, his legacy has been enormously influential to the generations who have followed.
