Inspired by the purity of nature and the aesthetic of Asian art, Eric Serritella specializes in hand-carved trompe l’oeil sculptures in the Chinese tradition of Yixing. In his birch tree tea pots and sculptures that mimic weathered logs, Serritella exposes the fragility of nature in order to foster awareness of the environment. Serritella is a ceramic artist who lives and works in North Carolina. He discovered ceramics in 1996, first as a hobby to balance his corporate career and eventually as his full-time passion. His one-of-a-kind sculptures are internationally recognized for their hyper-realism and have been exhibited, awarded, and collected on five continents.
