Elyse Graham's Aperture Stool is named for the opening and closing of a lens, a reference to the circular shapes and varied scale of patterns as well as the structural design of the piece. The piece's intersecting planes highlight the double-sided nature of the material and give way to new patterns as one moves around the piece.
Made entirely from a composite resin, MetaMATERIAL, this piece is molded, finished, and assembled by hand in L.A. It's made to order and can be customized.
