A wall cabinet’s elegant, highly-polished surface ripples as it reaches its edges, forming a bulbous, rabid ring that enframes it, like a Noguchi run amok. Its slight frisson of danger at once beckons and repels. Here Gander’s proclivity towards the drippy and contorted combines function and surreal form.
