Daniel Kruger Vase $30,000>
Galleria Antonella Villanova

Taking cues from historical artifacts and Euclidean geometry, Daniel Kruger says that many of his designs “have a distinct erotic quality.” His creations are often symmetrical and presented in pairs, balancing mathematical patterns with softer, more organic lines. His preference for using silver, turquoise, and coral gives his work an aura of ancient treasure. The crafting of each piece is part of his creative thinking process; as a result, each Kruger piece is unique.

Born in Cape Town, Kruger is a jewelry and ceramic designer based in Berlin. He studied goldsmithing under master goldsmith Hermann Jünger. His jewelry work is known for its sensual shapes and mix of high and low materials. He ceramics often entail traditional forms overlaid with contemporary iconography.
