Dana Bechert created this one-of-kind, hand-thrown vase in 2020. Measuring 14 x 5 in, this piece is made of English porcelain embellished with a hand-carved geometric design.
American ceramic artist Dana Bechert’s distinctive craftwork is inspired by the numerous geometric patterns found in nature, as well as Native American ceramics, and, in particular, Acoma Pueblo Native American pots. Her ceramics feature highly graphic, layered patterns, frequently in black and white. Her work has been highlighted in a variety of media, including Architectural Digest, AnOther Magazine, Dwell, T Magazine, New York Magazine, Bon Appétit, and Design Sponge. She lives and works in rural Pennsylvania.
