Claude Lalanne’s Guéridon Ginkgo was produced in 1997. The table’s aluminum cast form mimics ginkgo leaves and branches.

 

Among the most unique and dynamic creative partnerships of the 20th century, Les Lalannes—that is, Claude (1924-2019) and François-Xavier (1927-2008) Lalanne—are revered for their highly imaginative, finely crafted objets d’art. Their work can be found in the most important collections around the world, including the Cooper Hewitt Museum, Museé Nationale d’Art Moderne-Centre Georges Pompidou, and Museé d’Histoire Naturelle in ParisLes Lalannes’ affiliation with the Galerie Mitterrand began in the early 1990s.
