These vases in grès were crafted by Bruno Gambone in the 1970s and 80s. They've been acquired from Gambone's studio in Florence. Due to the handmade nature, they are each one-of-a-kind.
Born in Salerno, Gambone (b. 1936) apprenticed in his father’s ceramics studios—the great Guido Gambone—as a young teenager before moving to Florence to work in the Andrea d'Arienzo manufactory. He went on to explore a variety of artistic expressions—mingling in the rich cultural scenes of both New York and Milan in the 1960s. But by the 1970s, he had rededicated himself to ceramics and today remains a leading voice in the field.
Since 2016, Gambone has collaborated with Rossella Colombari Gallery.
