This vase in grès was crafted by Bruno Gambone, an Italian ceramics master, in the 1990s. Due to its handmade nature, it is a one-of-a-kind.
Born in Salerno, Gambone (b. 1936) apprenticed in his father’s ceramics studios—the great Guido Gambone—as a young teenager before moving to Florence to work in the Andrea d'Arienzo manufactory. He went on to explore a variety of artistic expressions—mingling in the rich cultural scenes of both New York and Milan in the 1960s. But by the 1970s, he had rededicated himself to ceramics and today remains a leading voice in the field.
Since 2016, Gambone has collaborated with Rossella Colombari Gallery.
