The hand-dyed petals and aluminum curves of Bethan Laura Wood’s Wisteria Sconces create atmospheric shadow play, while the colors grow in vibrancy as day turns to night. The design is a continuation of the designer’s HyperNature project commissioned by Perrier-Jouët. The stained glass-like ombre of the petals is inspired by the Art Nouveau glass work of Emile Gallé.
A graduate of the Royal College of Art, Wood is a London-based designer known for her distinct approach to materials, color, and pattern. Her work can be found in the permanent collections of the Victoria & Albert Museum, Wellcome Collection, and Abet Laminati Museum.
