Bethan Laura Wood's Trellis-Arch Wall Lamps feature exposed armatures embellished with clusters of vividly colored glass flowers. Inspired by motifs found on retro swimming caps and costume jewelry, the flowers are each hand blown in Pyrex and assembled on the structure by hand. The lamps can be installed in a variety of configurations to create a dramatic cascading effect of light and shadow. Thanks to the artisanal nature of production, each piece is unique.
A graduate of the Royal College of Art, Wood is a London-based designer known for her distinct approach to materials, color, and pattern. Her work can be found in the permanent collections of the Victoria & Albert Museum, Wellcome Collection, and Abet Laminati Museum.
